The feeling of "R"

During this year, the most talked about for now is recession.
How badly Singapore is going to be hit, how our jobs will be affected, how we need to save.

For me, it seems really a first. I didn't feel any effect when SARS hit.
We only had to ensure our daily temperature is within the stated specs.
It was a SEA affected matter. I remember I even went for a holiday where I was being scanned while walking out of immigration. Nothing was wrong.

But this year, it seems different.
Everyone, no matter which job me or my friends are in, we're talking about the effects.
Everyone is now suddenly interested in news, in the economy.

I sincerely hope that we'll not be badly hit. We will be able to stay afloat. Let's just continue to strive and be positive.
